"My wife and I decided to try the FM Detox. We met with Chrissy and decided on the 3 week Detox. We started on a Monday. I weighed myself Monday morning and Faithfully did what the instructions said in the kit. My wife and I encouraged and supported each other through the whole process, which was a blessing! The first 2 days with just the shake was ok, not great but do-able. I never tasted a salad that was so good for lunch on the 3rd day. We got very creative with things like turkey chile, Chicken, kale and bean soup. We used all natural ingredients. I tried some new foods like kale, chia seeds, flax seeds, lentils, and Celtic salt. I am a coffee lover and I was told only 1 cup, I found Organic coffee for 1st thing in the morning. I had started a mushroom coffee a while before the detox, and I still kept having 1 cup in the late morning. That kept my coffee cravings at bay. Lemon or lime water was different but refreshing, and I would suck on lemon/lime wedges, which I still do today. 1st week was done and I had lost a little over 13 lbs. Great!
Week 2 was a little harder. I was hungry, wanted food, but my support (my wife) encouraged me through. Food was really tasty. I was still hungry after I started to eat food on the 3rd day so I added lean meat protein to my lunch. That made it better. Week 2 down. Tried pan seared shrimp, and different fish for dinner. Week 2 was over and I had lost a little over 19 lbs! I was happy and clothes were not as tight.
Week 3, shakes, so bored with shakes but I was looking at the big picture, and powered through. On day 3 of the 3rd week I sat down to lunch, and was starved. I started to eat and all of a sudden I was full, and had a fair amount of food left! My stomach shrank, WOW! So this week was easier, not hungry. This week I was the support for my wife. She was mildly discouraged but we finished together. On the last day of week 3 I climbed on the scale, 25.4 lbs lost in all! My blood pressure was lower and stable and my acid reflux was almost gone!
Since the cleanse, we have focused on portion size, very little processed sugar, no processed foods, no seed oils and limited grains, such as breads, pastas. We added food into our diet a couple of different kinds at a time.
When we met with Chrissy in the beginning, we discussed supplements. We added in K2-D3, Magnesium glycinate and Zinc, making sure they are all of good quality and are chelated. I have an autoimmune disease which adds a lot of inflammation to my body, along with stiff and sore joints. I noticed by the 3rd week, almost all of my sore and stiff joints were gone, I felt 20 years younger. I was only sleeping 5 to 6 hours a night before the cleanse, now it is 7 to 9 hours a night, and I want to go to bed earlier at night!
Now, everyone asks "are you still dieting?" My answer is, "It is not a diet but a lifestyle change". The effects of the change are still ongoing. I am still losing weight, I am off 3 medications and feel so much better. How much weight have I lost so far? 31.6 lbs. and still losing!
I am so glad I took my friends advice and sought out Chrissy to coach me on to a healthier new me!
My future plans? Keep on the current path, do a Detox a few times a year and see what happens."
"On the 8th, my husband got sick and was diagnosed with covid on the 10th. And as we suspected, I had it two days later. The doctor prescribed Paxlovid for the symptoms. My husband was able to take it just fine and felt better pretty much the next day. I, on the other hand couldn’t tolerate the medicine. It made me sicker, so I didn’t take it. My ‘active’ covid lasted for over 20 days. I had all the symptoms, nausea, diarrhea, headache, fatigue, head cold, fever, chills, body aches, and a cough that just seem to last forever. I started to notice changes within a day or two. I found that the shakes (I mixed the Vanilla powder and the Apple Crisp powder with smoothie packets from the freezer section at Walmart and vanilla flavored unsweetened Almond Milk) kept me feeling full and satisfied and my energy was starting to come back. I was still sleeping a lot and I couldn’t shake the cough. Finally about 5 days later, I made it through a day without napping. The cough was slowing down and I was able to start tackling my daily tasks.
My life and health have improved so much since then. I have more energy and stamina. I don’t nap every day and I lost some weight. The best part was the unexpected benefit of a lowered blood pressure. My blood pressure runs 140/90 all the time with 3 pills daily to control it. This has been normal for 26 years! My blood pressure at my last visit was 114/68! I am feeling GREAT, AWESOME and SO MUCH BETTER! I can't believe how well the products from Rooted in Wellness are working. I just reordered several of the items and will be placing another order soon. Not only have the products helped me kick the long covid, but my cravings for certain foods have changed, I have lost about 8-10 pounds, and my blood pressure is lower than it has been in 26 years. The last reading was 114/68. I have never seen numbers that low. My doctor is thrilled. I took all the products and showed her. She was amazed and told me I was doing fantastic! I can't wait to have my bloodwork done to see if my cholesterol and A1C numbers have changed at all.
